Look at her — beautiful lines, curvaceous, ultra-sleek and the star of one of the biggest car flicks of all time. She's now being handcrafted, one part at a time, in Dallas. The place that makes this beauty is Unique Performance. She's Eleanor, the leading lady in Gone in 60 Seconds, and you too can have one of these way-cool GT-500E rides for yourself. But before you open the checkbook, check out the episode where we'll see an Eleanor get built from start to finish.
Along with Eleanor, we'll see other legendary muscle cars and take a look at the whole culture of high-performance street machines and go-fast customized vehicles; American-built classics made into the stuff that zooms by faster than you can blink. As the build of the new Eleanor unfolds, we'll also look at the other projects at Unique Performance, a specialty shop where looks and horsepower come together in cars that are both new and time-tested; state-of-the-art within the most famous, classic models — like the GT-500E, crafted into the (almost) one and only Eleanor. This hour will also include interviews with baseball great Jason Giambi and the legendary Carroll Shelby. As one of the great muscle men on the diamond, Jason is the perfect fit for a muscle car and is having one built at Unique Performance. As for Shelby — well, how could we explore the GT without hearing from the creator and master?
