Marilyn found the convertible
Cadillac at a car dealer about 15 years ago. She called her husband - not to ask if she could buy it - but to tell him to measure the garage to see if the Cadillac's rear end would fit.
She has named the car,
"Bessie," and thinks of her as a family member. The car is not reliable and needs repair, but Marilyn gets stone-faced when Chris suggests that she sell it. Right now, Bessie is used as a closet for all of Marilyn's holiday decorations, plastic pumpkins, and Christmas lights.
Marilyn works hard at her business management job, and she also finds time to volunteer. She hands out food to the homeless, has adopted an inner-city elementary school class, and works with the Canine Companion Organization that raises and trains dogs for the disabled.
Chris describes Marilyn as vivacious, friendly and "politely aggressive." She is going to be a great one to prank, and the car is destined to be a showpiece of high elegance!
