Mustang Sting

David started out life with one strike against him: he was born with a defect in his skull that required him to have 2 surgeries before he was 8 months old. It was successful but his parents were always careful about letting him play rough.

At eleven years old, Dave slept with his baseball mitt and had his bedroom plastered with posters of Mustang cars. At age 16, his dad bought him a 1969 Mustang fixer-upper: it this was a father and son project in which they invested a three few years, that took a few years for them to restore, but it still needs help.

Fast forward a few years to Dave marrying his childhood sweetheart. They now have a baby girl and bought their first home. When Dave drove his car into the new garage, he side-swiped the side of his Mustang. He had it repaired, but the work was shoddy. The car has sat in the garage for at least a year, untouched, because Dave is so disappointed that it looks bad and yet, he doesn't have the time and money to get it fixed right.

Dave's dad wants to give Dave this overhaulin' treat because Dave has always kept a positive outlook on life, is a hard worker, and deserves something nice to be done for him.
