  • Keep your car properly tuned in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Check air filter regularly and change if visibly dirty.
  • Change oil and oil filter every 3,000 - 5,000 miles.
  • Check spark plugs for wear.
  • Remove excess weight from your car and remove roof racks when not in use.
  • Ensure that your car is aligned to prevent drag on your tires.
  • Ensure that tires are inflated to pressure recommended by car's manufacturer.
  • Plan trips wisely to reduce starts and stops. The cycle of heating and cooling the engine adds to the wear of your car.
