- Remove caliper from rotor by removing bolts.
- Bolts may be different sizes so it is important to remember each bolt's location.
- Pry caliper off rotor.
- Pull inner and outer pads out of caliper.
- Check that slide pins are free to move in caliper.
- Push piston back with c-clamp to make space for thicker new pads.
- Check rotors for surface integrity, if scored or warped they may need to be resurfaced by a machinist.
- With new pads installed in caliper, replace over rotor and retighten bolts.
- Caliper should move slightly over rotor when reassembled.
