Mark prefers working for himself. He first learned his independence when his father deserted the family and his mother died when he was seven. The word “parents” still sounds foreign to him.
Passed around relatives' and foster homes, Mark had to learn to stand up for himself—to make his own way. Sometimes that way got him into trouble.
Juvenile hall, drink, drugs, and anger became Mark’s demons. But all along Mark had the intelligence and self-respect to keep enough of his life together. He held down good jobs and learned a lot about the automotive business while working for employers and in his own garage after hours.
His passion for cars kept part of his life straight, then he met his wife—she helped with the other part. Their children are now all that matters for this guy, who never had what he wants to give them.
Mark plans to say farewell to his demons forever and follow his passion.
This is his chance…
and this is his family’s chance.
