Appraise My Car Rating System

Condition Rating: An industry recognized scale, that rates a car’s overall condition.

Condition 1: Concours ready. Essentially flawless.
Condition 2: Minor cosmetic imperfections
Condition 3: Requires basic restoration. A "driver".
Condition 4: Requires significant restoration; mechanical and cosmetic
Condition 5: Requires total restoration. Not much to start with.
Condition 6: Serious "basket case". May be beyond help.

 

Collectability Rating: A – B – C – D – F

A: Rare, historically significant, stylistic, & possible competition history
B: Technical innovation, unique style, or competition history
C: Some inherent interest, but few special characteristics.
D: Unsuccessful in the collector market.  Design, engineering or styling flaws.
F: Few redeeming characteristics.  Hopeless in every way.
