Roadstar

Owner: Buz Di Vosta

The Roadstar is based on a fenderless version of a '36 Ford Roadster. Its 18 months of construction began with a rectangular steel-tube frame. The front suspension uses split I-beams formed from 7075 aluminum and Carrera in-board, cantilevered coil-overs. The rear has an independent suspension, again using Carrera shocks. The Boyd Coddington wheels are 17x7 up front and 20x11 in the rear, mounted on Goodyear P245/40R17s and P335/35R20s respectively. Sitting between the frame rails is a mid-mounted Cadillac Northstar V8 with an automatic transmission from the same donor Cadillac.

Sitting atop the chassis is a hand-built aluminum body covered with House of Kolors white base and layers of candy tangerine and orange-pearl. On the inside, camel-colored Angus leather covers the seats and door panels with matching wool carpet on the floorboards. The dash sports a set of vintage gauges from Classic mounted behind a Boyd Coddington steering wheel.
