Boydster II

Owners: Rusty and Allison Hudgins

Like the Boydster I, the Boydster II is based on a '32 Ford. Its body has one major difference from the first car, though: It is full fendered. Other differences include the body being sectioned 2 inches and channeled over the frame rails only a .5 inch.

In 2001 Boyd decided to make fiberglass replicas of the original Boydster II available to all hot rodders, and Rusty and Allison Hudgins wasted no time placing their order. Boyd started the year-long build with a custom-built frame sporting independent front and rear suspension, both with plenty of polished billet aluminum pieces. To power his hot rod Rusty decided on a tried and true LS6 backed by a 4L80E automatic transmission.

The fiberglass body is Dupont Black, and to spice things up, orange and red flames were added and finished off with a lime-green pinstripe. Pulling color from the flames, the interior was stitched up in red leather and also showcases a Boyd Coddington steering wheel and Boyd Coddington classic gauges.
