You could almost smell the testosterone as Sr. and Jr. competed to see who would build the better prototype bike that best defines their idea of the future of Orange County Choppers. On January 6, 2007, fans voted at the grand opening of OCC's first dealership in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and picked Jr.'s design, the OCC Widow Bike, as their favorite for OCC's next production chopper.
While Jr. and Sr. were hard at work building their prototype bikes, a TLC sweepstakes was held from December 11-19, 2007. American Chopper fans entered to win a trip to the Fort Lauderdale OCC dealership grand opening, along with a chance to draw a winning key from a helmet to start and take home the winning build-off bike.
Five finalists took turns starting Jr.'s bike, and one lucky winner, Jim McLean took home the grand prize.
